DO YOU KNOW JESUS?
Imagine this — You woke up, go about your routine and step out into the world. But as you went through your day, something remarkable began to unfold.
Maybe it started when the barista at your favorite coffee shop greeted you with a genuine smile and a warm “Good morning!” It was a small moment, but it lifted your spirits. Then, at the grocery store, a stranger let you go ahead in line because they noticed you were in a hurry. Later, you saw someone pause to help an elderly man load his groceries into his car.
At lunch, a colleague complimented your work, not just casually but with sincerity. Their words encourage you, making you feel seen and valued. That evening, you noticed a neighbor delivering meals to someone struggling, a silent act of care without expecting anything in return.
If you pause and think about it, haven’t you experienced moments like these before? These acts of kindness, compassion, and love are too good to be random —where do they come from?
What if I told you they were glimpses of Jesus? Every time someone shows you kindness, serves without expectation, or speaks encouragement into your life, just to name a few — it’s a reflection of His love!
So, let me ask you—do you know Jesus? Even if you’ve never thought about it or if you don’t feel like you do or even if you feel distant, he’s been there, always! That love you see in these small gestures is just a fraction of his love for you. Love is for you, always waiting, always present.
You see, God loves us so much that he sent His one and only son, Jesus, to pay the ultimate price for our sins to bring us in relationship with him. Jesus demonstrated the greatest act of love when He went to the cross to atone for our sins—the very sins that have separated us from God since the Garden of Eden. These sins are not just our wicked actions or thoughts but the sinfulness that resides in our hearts from the beginning.
Jesus did what only He could do to save us. He gave His life so that we could have the promise of eternal life and personally experience the joy that comes from a relationship with God here on earth! This is the most intimate and powerful expression of love.
If you’ve ever longed for that kind of relationship with God, the Bible teaches that it begins with acknowledging your sin and recognizing that you cannot earn God’s love through your own efforts– its a gift, given by grace. The next step is to believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, that he died for your sins and rose again.
By placing your trust in Him, you invite Jesus to be your Savior and take His rightful place at the center of your life. Surrender your heart to Him, allowing Him to guide and transform your life with His love and truth. This is the foundation of a life-changing relationship with God.
